Gilbert himself has been knee-deep in recent years completely redoing his home in Georgia and farm in Alabama with wife, Amber. With touring on hold of late, he’s spent a lot of time revamping his garage, turning it into his home studio, writing space and recreation area. He reached out to Peak Living to design his own sofa, which quickly developed into a partnership to create “Kicking It At Home.” Gilbert was on hand at Premarket to greet retailers and help Peak Living with the launch.

“The past five years, I’ve spent more time than I ever thought I would involved in this sort of thing, and a lot of that has to do with getting married,” Brantley said of his experience in the give and take of designing living spaces, and he brought that into his involvement in developing the collection. “It’s been quiet in our industry with no touring, and I normally wouldn’t have time to do something like this.”

“We were very excited to get the call from Brantley Gilbert,” Cunningham said, noting that Gilbert helped design all four groups. “Brantley knows what he likes and is great to work with, and we are excited to see what will be next.” He added that Peak Living saw 70% of its major customers at Premarket, and “the reaction has been incredible.”

Those retailers included Jackson, Miss.-based Miskelly Furniture, and buyer Anna Lucovich liked what she saw.

“We were excited to hear the news about the partnership with Brantley and are looking forward to getting these looks on our floor,” Lucovich said in Peak Living’s showroom. “Brantley’s fans are our customer base, and we think the furniture is right for our market – we do really well with sectionals, and the sofas are the kind of thing we need, too.”
