ST. LOUIS, Mo. – St. Louis-based high end furniture manufacturer Goebel Furniture has unveiled its first furniture and home goods brand for the consumer market.

Crafted from American hardwoods, metals, ceramics and textiles, the Kindred Heirloom collection merges old-world craftsmanship, advanced automated manufacturing and modern aesthetics to bring heirloom furniture and home goods to the contemporary high-end furniture market.

The collection was designed by company founder Martin Goebel, who is known for his high-end hospitality furniture and private residential commissions. It features more than 25 items, including credenzas, nightstands, tables and chairs. Price points will be similar to that of Restoration Hardware, Goebel said.

The company’s focus for the past decade has been to create manufacturing processes that enable craftsman furniture to be made at scale for the consumer home furniture market.

“We are reimagining American manufacturing theory by merging old-world craftsmanship with modern technology to bring heirloom furniture to everyone,” he said. “Artisancraft is about creating special objects with a tangible connection to the materials and maker. We want to make that heightened experience and special feeling a part of every home through lasting furniture that is made to be shared by this generation and handed down to the next.”

Goebel’s manufacturing facility is located in the North Saint Louis riverfront industrial corridor. The operation is a vertically integrated facility that Goebel says leverages digital design and advanced automated manufacturing.

“Controlling all aspects of the manufacturing process allows us to maximize efficiencies and offer artisan-quality hardwood furniture at price points comparable to Restoration Hardware, West Elm and Pottery Barn,” he said.

The full Kindred line will debut for the first time at the upcoming spring High Point Market, April 21-25. Kindred is included in the juried first floor of IMC InterHall.
