ZEELAND, Mich. – Case goods and upholstery supplier Hekman Furniture has launched a new website and store catered to designers. The site allows registered users to access the entire Hekman and Howard Miller product lines, visualize and order custom upholstery, and get dedicated customer support, the company said.

“We do business with many designers – some small, some large – and we saw an opportunity here to create a resource,” said Jim O’Keefe, vice president of sales. “Designers can source product, access high-definition product images, render upholstery frames and fabrics, and pull it all from one site. It helps us create efficiencies. Now we don’t have to route all of this through our sales reps out in the field.”

O’Keefe said there are a few other bonuses. The more designers buy, the more they save. If $5,000 is spent, they’ll save 2%. If $10,000 is spent, they’ll save 5%. Also, there are no minimum orders and freight is free.

“We’re excited about this, and we’re seeing strong adoption,” O’Keefe said. “Designers are a growing part of our business, and we want to help them out. They can get great looking product that’s in stock.”

Designers can register here.

Hekman/Howard Miller employs around 1,500 people at 11 manufacturing and distribution plants around the world. The company offers bedroom, dining, home office, entertainment furniture, as well as a wide range of clocks and other furniture on the Howard Miller side. Howard Miller items ship out of Zeeland, Mich., while most Hekman items ship out of High Point.
